Cable rocks

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Ahh cable is great, we couldn’t really justify having it in oz but its 5 bucks/month here… yeah!  We have Discovery, ESPN, CNN, a couple of movie channels, National Geographic (but the sound is stuffed - boo), another sports channel and an australian channel.  There’s another 40 channels but they’re not in english.  Today I watched a bit of Melbourne v  Port on the aust channel… I think they telecast most AFL games, spewing I missed the Essendon v Carlton…u bewty!!! I know, I know the prelims in ‘99 right?  I caught a bit of the NBA the other day so I can still get my basketball fix, but we mostly watch the news or discovery here.

This little bit of luxury might just keep us sane

    Hey Guys!
Sounds like you have been a busy beaver Fred!! Leigh is so jealous at the $13 slab of Asahi and the duck noodle soup.

Pen looks like she’s right at home already! Kitchen is awesome - you dont need space, just do it Asian style and prepare everything in plastic tubs squatting on the floor! (I’m not joking). Glad to see you guys have got a grass broom too- Pen you should be a pro at using one of those now, after sweeping up after the Prince and Chops!!!

Anyway, so excited for you guys, but missing you terribly. Mia sends a big hug and a kiss to Aunty Penny and Uncle Fred.

    Love Tammy

ps: I’ve got the laptop back so I’ll dl Skype and look you up.

      Tam & Mia,
I’m loving the broom and can go around and around the house all day with it, if I had the time. The only problem was when it came to picking all the dust/dirt up, it was only then that I realised that we didn’t own a dust pan. So, I borrowed the one from the office and I flicked more dust/dirt around the room than went on the dust pan and then eventually in the bin. I’m sure there is a skill to it, but I just havn’t figured it out yet.
We havn’t graduated to preparing food in buckets on the floor yet, but it’s only a matter of time.
Missing you too and loving reading your comments on the blog.
      Talk soon
      Penny xxoo

Hi Pen, happy to see you’ve settled in. Don’t worry about the broom, that’ll be Fred’s job. Cambodian office looks cool too.
Fred, Essendon were brilliant. Fevola made a fool of himself. 1 goal 20 behinds or something. That’s four in a row against the blue rabble they call Carlton. Glenn was not happy. He was sending drunken text messages at midnight congratulating Essendon supporters… like we’d do that. But that’s why we love Glenno, always thinking of others.
You guys look like you settled in nicely and quickly making a home away from home.
Tracks update (cause that’s all I seem to do these days. Hong Kong was full on by the way. I even out shopped Sharman!): JDN is locked away in the lab crafting up his next installment and I too. Sending soon. Cambodia will never have heard such music and I implore you to open up a market and start selling. No doubt you’ll make a massive loss and won’t sell a thing. But it’s the experience that counts, right?
Luv ya lots. Take care and have a great time!!!

    P.S. Don’t play with snakes
